Sweet and Sour Meatballs
1 can pineapple tidbits, drained, reserving liquid
1/4 cup vinegar
1 TBSP soy sauce
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 TBSP cornstarch
1/3 cup chopped green pepper
Prepare meatballs using directions on package. In saucepan, heat reserved pineapple liquid, vinegar and soy sauce. Mix sugar and cornstarch; stir into liquid. Cook over medium heat until thickened and boiling, stirring constantly. Continue boiling and stirring for 1 minute. Stir in pineapple, green pepper and meatballs; heat through.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.

Oven-Barbecued Chicken
2 TBSP catsup
2 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
2 TBSP Lemon Juice
2 TBSP Vinegar
2 TBSP Margarine
1/4 cup Water
2 tsp Salt
2 tsp Paprika
1/2 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 1/2 to 3 lbs chicken pieces
Heat oven to 350 Degrees. In a small saucepan combine first nine ingredients; bring to a boil. Mix flour and remaining salt and pepper in paper or plastic bag. Drop chicken pieces into bag 2 or 3 at a time and shake to coat. Arrange in a 9x13-inch baking pan. Pour sauce over chicken being careful to cover all pieces. Bake for 1 hour, or until chicken is done, turning chicken over after 30 minutes. Makes 4-6 Servings

Fettucini Alfredo
1 1/3 c whipping cream
2/3 cup milk
1/3 cup butter
1/4 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 c shredded parmesan cheese
Serve with Chicken Breasts
Blueberry Yum Yum
3 C. Graham cracker crumbs
1 1/2 cubes melted margarine or butter
Mix together and put 1/2 inch deep in bottom of 9x13 inch pan. Set aside.
1 Tbs. Vanilla
3/4 c. sugar
8 oz Cream cheese
Mix together and set aside.
2 pkg Dream whip or cool whip
1 c. milk
Whip until stiff. Add to cream cheese mixture.
Spread over graham cracker mixture in order: Graham cracker, cheese mixture, 1 can blueberry pie filling, and cheese mixture. Cover and refrigerate.
Any flavor pie filling can be used.
Grandma Weight’s Chili
1 TBS salt
1 lb hamburger
1 med onion, chopped
1 can stewed tomatoes (or diced)
3/4 cup ketchup
2 tsp. chili powder

Salmon and Lemon Broccoli Rice
Rub Durkee Grill Creations Citrus Grill seasoning on the salmon and broil or grill. If you broil, do each side for 5-8 minutes or until done.
Lemon Broccoli Rice
1 can chicken broth
1 cup small broccoli flowerets
1 small carrot, shredded (or sliced if you prefer)
1 1/4 cup uncooked minute rice
2 tsp lemon juice
generous dash of pepper
Heat broth to boil, add broccoli and carrots. Reduce to low. Cover and cook 5 minutes or until veggies are tender. Stir in rice, lemon juice and pepper. Cover and remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes or until done. Fluff with fork.

Ultimate Chocolate Brownies
1/2 tsp baking soda
2/3 cup butter or margarine, melted and divided
1/2 cup boiling water
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 1/3 cups flour
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
One-Bowl Buttercream Frosting (to follow)
Bake 35 to 40 minutes for rectangular pan, 30 to 35 minutes for square pan or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pans. Cool completely in pans on wire rack. Meanwhile, prepare One-Bowl Buttercream Frosting; frost brownies. Sprinkle with additional chocolate chips, if desired. Cut into squares.
One-Bowl Buttercream Frosting
2 2/3 cups cocoa
4 to 6 TBS milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
Beat butter in medium bowl. Add powdered sugar and cocoa alternately with milk, beating to spreading consistency. Stir in vanilla.
